“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away, and see, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Is the gospel really true? Does faith in Jesus genuinely change lives?

As we celebrate Awaken Sunday, we turn to 2 Corinthians 5:16–21 and the incredible truth that through Christ, we have been reconciled to God and made new. Our past no longer defines us, our brokenness does not disqualify us, and our identity is now found in Christ.

But this good news doesn’t end with us. Having been reconciled to God, we are called to be His ambassadors, carrying the message of reconciliation to the world.

As we celebrate baptisms and hear testimonies of transformed lives, we are reminded that the gospel is not merely a theological truth to understand, but a reality to believe, experience, and proclaim.
