Faith in Jesus is never passive. While we are saved by grace through faith alone, that same grace transforms the way we live.

In this message from 1 Thessalonians 2:17–3:13, we see the Apostle Paul model what a gospel-shaped life looks like. His love for the church, his longing to gather, his willingness to suffer, his encouragement of believers, his gratitude, and his constant prayer all reveal that authentic faith produces visible fruit.

Pastor Jonah reminds us that Christians are not saved by good works, but they are most certainly saved unto them. As followers of Jesus, we are called to gather faithfully, stand firm in spiritual battle, rejoice in Christ’s work, encourage one another sacrificially, endure suffering with hope, give thanks in every circumstance, and pray without ceasing.

The Christian life isn’t about earning God’s acceptance. The Christian life flows from already having it. Because Christ has made us righteous, we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to live as His people until He returns.

Saved by grace. Empowered for action. Living for His glory.
