What happens when we receive God’s Word not merely as a human message, but as the very voice of God?

In 1 Thessalonians 2:13–16, Paul gives thanks for a church that welcomed the gospel, allowed it to work powerfully within them, and remained faithful despite opposition. Their lives reveal that genuine belief is never passive: the Word energises, transforms and moves God’s people to proclaim Christ wherever He has placed them.

This message calls us to identify the “synagogues” in our own lives, to share the gospel together, and to examine whether we have truly bought into the life of following Jesus. Is Christianity simply one more subscription competing for our attention, or is God’s Word effectively working in us?
