Take Courage - Part 3: Remember His Faithfulness

This sermon centered on a simple but urgent question: How did a generation that witnessed God’s faithfulness forget Him so quickly? Looking at Judges 2, we see that Israel didn’t merely forget what God had done, they stopped truly knowing Him. As followers of Jesus, we’re called to take courage by holding two truths together: remembering God’s faithfulness revealed in His Word and recognizing His active presence in our lives today. When either is neglected, we drift. The church is called to be a people who encourage one another, tell the stories of God’s faithfulness, share testimonies of His ongoing work, and live with a joy that points others to Christ. As we fix our eyes on Jesus, the One who says, “Take heart, I have overcome the world”, we become a community that remembers, rejoices, and passes the faith on to the next generation.
